How does stress affect the body?
IMMUNE SYSTEM
The blood cells that help you fight off infections can be highly affected by stress so if you are suffering from stress, you are more likely to get sick more often. People suffering from stress are much more likely to get colds and similar infections. If you suffer from a chronic illness, your symptoms can be made even worse with stress.
HEART PROBLEMS
Stress in directly linked to high blood pressure, and this can increase the risk of blood clots, strokes, heart attacks, heart failure and coronary artery disease.
BREATHING PROBLEMS/LUNGS

STOMACH PROBLEMS
Stress can cause many digestive upsets such as irritable bowel syndrome, stomach ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease. If you already have any of these stomach problems, then stress can make the symptoms worse
SKIN PROBLEMS
Stress can also have an affect on the skin, and things like psoriasis and acne can be a sign that you are suffering from stress
MUSCLE ACHES
Stress causes constant tension, and the body holds a lot of tension in the muscles. People suffering from stress are likely to have back pains, shoulder and neck pains. If you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, stress can make the symptoms of this worse.
REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS
Stress can lead to a lower sexual drive and can make you unable to achieve an orgasm. It can cause erectile dysfunction and can also cause low fertility and painful menstrual periods.
